THE STORY

The story

Laurel Canyon Dreamin’ is a live musical journey through the legendary Laurel Canyon scene of the 1960s and ’70s. The production celebrates the artists who helped define folk rock, harmony-rich songwriting and the California sound, while weaving performances together with stories, relationships and behind-the-scenes context from the Canyon’s creative community.

CAREER & COLLABORATIONS

The band behind the stories.

Coop may guide the trip through Laurel Canyon, but the show lives in the ensemble: five musicians trading lead voices, harmonies and instrumental colors across a songbook built on connection.

LEAD VOCALS: Hilary Saleb

LEAD VOCALS

Hilary Saleb

As Laurel Canyon Dreamin’s lead vocalist, Hilary carries the female-vocal center of a songbook where character, blend and close harmony matter as much as range.

GUITAR / VOCALS: Jackson Jarret

GUITAR / VOCALS

Jackson Jarret

Jarret came up in Mission Viejo as a founding guitarist in The Grinns, the Orange County band formed in high school and later signed to Postmark Records. That background in Beatles-informed indie rock and collaborative songwriting makes him a natural fit for Laurel Canyon Dreamin’s guitar-and-harmony conversation.

BASS / VOCALS: Gordon Rustvold

BASS / VOCALS

Gordon Rustvold

Rustvold brings a studio maker’s ear to the bass chair. His Broken Prop Studio in Fountain Valley hosted The Mutual Admiration Society, tracked by Rustvold; his engineering credits also include Arnold McCuller’s The Music of Johnny Mathis.

DRUMS: Frank Cotinola

DRUMS

Frank Cotinola

Cotinola’s Southern California career spans stages and sessions, including work with the Righteous Brothers and José Feliciano. That experience shows up in Laurel Canyon Dreamin’ as a seasoned, song-first pocket: supportive, musical and built to serve the vocal and guitar interplay at the heart of the show.
