THE STORY

The story

Carl Sonny Leyland built his musical language from the great boogie-woogie and piano-blues traditions, then deepened it through nine years on the New Orleans club scene. After relocating to California, he toured with Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys and became a fixture of international roots, jazz and blues festivals.
