Tijuana Dogs

At Campus JAX, Tijuana Dogs are more than a recurring booking. They have been resident artists since 2019, returning monthly and becoming one of the defining live traditions of the room. The band’s strength is range: classic rock, pop, dance, ’80s and ’90s favorites and the kind of unexpected left turns that work only when the players can really listen to one another. Matt Mauser leads from the front, with Dave Murdy on guitar, Daniel Pearson on bass, Tom Dante on drums, and Jacob Bigham on vocals and guitar. The lineup is built for movement, spontaneity and audience connection — a party band in the best sense of the term, because the music is strong enough to carry the party rather than hide behind it.
