Niki Bente’s career has grown through the practical art of performing: learning songs and connecting with a room. The Valencia singer-songwriter’s choral background and jazz and blues study led into professional work at 20.
An early constant was The Adventures of Todd & Niki. With Todd McCool on guitar and vocals, the project built an acoustic foundation that could expand into larger arrangements. Her 2023 account described years of pubs, wineries, private events and weddings, alongside work with Pulp Vixen, HWY 111 and theme-park shows.
Twisted Gypsy brought a particularly personal repertoire into focus. In interviews, Niki describes Stevie Nicks as a favorite artist and the role as a chance to bring her own artistry to songs she loves. The band’s live arrangements give that approach a physical setting: harmonies, guitars, keys and the exchange between musicians. Its 2022 élite Magazine feature places her alongside Melia Scaletty and the wider ensemble while emphasizing the group’s energetic reinterpretation of Fleetwood Mac.
There is a studio chapter, too. Worldview’s 2015 release announcement credits Niki’s voice on The Chosen Few, the album’s title track. It is a useful reminder to listen beyond the most familiar role.
