Jason Feddy

Jason Feddy grew up in Leeds, England, learning how to connect with an audience in working men's clubs and pubs. His career grew from original songwriting into an international performing life, six albums of his own music and performances alongside major recording artists. After settling in Laguna Beach he became a regular creative force in the coastal community, from music programming and local radio to the Laguna Beach Arts Alliance's 2019/20 Artist of the Year recognition. Jason also brought songwriting into the theatre: Shakespeare's Fool sets passages from the plays to new music, and he wrote songs for Rita Rudner's Two's a Crowd, heard at Laguna Playhouse and Off-Broadway. Campus JAX shows how all those chapters coexist. JAX SongStage brings Jason back to the original song and the conversation between writers. The Only Friends Band and his trio create smaller, spontaneous musical encounters. The Beatroots celebrate the Beatles without costumes or impersonation. Wild Night gives Van Morrison's catalog a full ensemble, while Mad Dogs & The Englishman stretches into Joe Cocker's soul-and-rock territory. He has also appeared in the Wilbury Super Group tribute. Jason is one of the hometown-favorite resident artists who return to make the room familiar and surprising at once.
