Bill McDowell

Bill McDowell is a drummer, percussionist and vocalist whose musical vocabulary was shaped by rock, blues, country, R&B and pop. He began working professionally while still young, later moving to Los Angeles with his original band Tempest and performing at landmark clubs including the Whisky, the Roxy and the Troubadour. His later work has taken him to venues including the Ford Theatre, House of Blues, the Agora Theatre and Buddy Guy’s in Chicago, and he has shared stages with artists including Wild Cherry, Men Without Hats and Janet Gardner of Vixen. In Eagles Ronstadt Experience, Bill’s job is deceptively difficult: give the songs the right pocket and dynamics without overplaying them. His drumming provides the stable center that lets the guitars and vocal harmonies open up.
