MEET THE ARTIST

Anthony Bonsera

Trumpeter, vocalist and arranger whose work with The BBB moves between the brass section, the microphone and the written chart.

Bonsera's contribution is not confined to a trumpet chair. Performance, vocals and arranging meet in the same musical identity, changing how the orchestra can tell a story.

WHY YOU SHOULD KNOW THEM

Follow the roles, not only the chair.

01

TRUMPET

Inside the section.

Bonsera is heard as a trumpet voice in The BBB's hard-swinging brass writing.

02

VOICE

The arrangement can step toward a lyric.

The Pugilist and Number One Son document vocal work alongside his instrumental role.

03

THE PAGE

He helps shape the material.

His BBB credits include arranging as well as performance.

THE STORY

From section voice to featured voice.

Anthony Bonsera occupies several roles inside The BBB's sound. He is a trumpeter in the section, a vocalist when the arrangement calls for a different kind of presence, and an arranger whose work helps determine how the full orchestra moves. Those roles are documented beyond a single set. The band's album The Pugilist credits Bonsera on trumpet and vocals and as arranger of “Zomby Woof.” The all-analog Number One Son session credits him on trumpet throughout, with vocal and electric-bass parts on the title track. At Campus JAX, Bonsera appears in the January 11, 2026 BBB broadcast and returns on October 4. Hearing both visits turns a personnel line into a musical thread: a lead voice that can live inside the trumpet section, step forward vocally, or shape the chart itself.
